We are hiring a passionate
RESEARCHER & WRITER
to join our team.

The Futures Collaborative is a strategy consultancy and thinking partner for progressive corporations in the fields of technology, urbanism, design, hospitality, mobility and empathy.

The Futures Collaborative is the recognition that there are no easy answers. The Futures Collaborative is a way of thinking, a commitment to gaining perspectives and actively engaging with the present. Towards futures that are desirable.

GAINING PERSPECTIVES

All our work starts with explorations and questions. These foundational explorations are intrinsic in gaining multiple perspectives and readings of the present that shape our work. These perspectives sometimes evolve intuitively (sensing), sometimes they grow out of distinct research patterns (ethnographic, anthropological, sociological, material). Both require curiosity and ease in articulating insights into words people want to hear and read.

THE TASK

Even though we often collaborate with larger institutions or corporations, we want to approach research with a creative and artistic lens. Critical aspects of this task are: different means of knowledge gathering and communicating artistic research to a wider (sometimes non-creative) audience. As we are advising through the tool of futures (narratives), connecting individual and collective experiences and expectations for the coming times, we are looking for someone to help us navigating the recombination of contexts and investigating the blurring borders (sometimes tensions) of nature, technology, and human communities.
